What is franchising?

Franchising is where an already successful business owner (franchisor) grants a licence to another person (franchisee) whereby they are entitled to trade under the name of the franchisor following their proven operating model.
The franchisor will provide training and ongoing help and support in order to help increase the franchisees chances of success.
The advantages of buying a franchise are:
- Someone else has already proven and tested the business model
- You will be provided with comprehensive training programmes to cover sales, marketing and the core running of the particular business
- Funding should be easier to secure as the banks can see the business model works
- Your customers will understand that as well as you offering the best possible value for money and service, they can be comfortable in the knowledge that you are backed up by a larger company and experience of a bigger team
In return for this you will pay an upfront license fee and an ongoing management fee to cover the ongoing training and support.
As with starting any business you must be willing to invest your own time and money into the business. To ensure you are happy that this model is for you we will answer any questions you have, throughout our franchise recruitment programme, to ensure you are happy that you will have the ability and attributes to be a success before you commit to the franchise.
